Shop smart. With the advancements in technology and access, there is no limit to the number of discount options we can obtain.  Online sources like Scoutmob, Groupon, Foursquare and LivingSocial just to name a few, are great options to consider.  Even grocery stores like Kroger have smartphone apps that allow you to find discounts, in store savings and upcoming deals to help us maximize on our shopping.  Another option is teaming up within your community.  Partner with friends/family in your community to buy collectively in bulk and maximize on those resources as best as you possibly can.  Bulk is not only smart, its fashionable.  Who wants to run out of toilet paper during those crucial gatherings, queer-family potlucks and the like. :-)
