Q: First, I have to say I LOVE your blog! It had actually given me more courage to be who I am. I love the style here, but I have a question: where can a boi with a booty find good pants?? I have a more traditionally feminine figure (boobs and butt), and I can manage the top with a binder just fine, but there’s no changing the hips. I love the look of a good pair of slacks, but menswear doesn’t fit and girl pants don’t cut it. Where do your curvier bois find their pants? - Anonymous
A: Hi Anonymous and thanks for your kind words and support. We’re glad that our blog helps you to be more of who you are.
We’re so glad you’re getting into you, it’s the most important thing we can do for ourselves.
Menswear and curves don’t always get along however, there are lines and shops that will give you the flexibility and look you’re seeking. I too have to spend some time looking around for the best fit. Every now and then when I happen to find myself in Macy’s, I browse the slacks and pullovers. Alfani and Dockers are brands that I find have some give and come in tons of colors. If you’re looking for a nice pair of dress pants for special occasions try, J Crew or J Crew Factory for same quality clothing with nearly a third of the cost—they carry some relaxed fits also with a variety of colors and styles. Also, if you’re thinking about trying to stack up on some smart buys in a fair quantity at great prices check out Old Navy, I’ve been hearing some buzz about their pants this year.
Lastly, we suggest checking out Uniqlo, you’re going to love it!Uniqlo is a Japanese company that reminds us of H&M however, the an edge that pushes past trends.
I hope we’ve been able to provide enough options to give your wardrobe the boost it’s seeking. Getting dressed should be fun, inspiring and gratifying.
If the mood strikes, send us a quick picture. We won’t share if you don’t want us to. :-)
Don’t forget to be AWESOME!!

We met this queer boi a couple of months ago and bonded over these pair of awesome Cole Haan Reflective shoes. These bad bois change colors with light - they changed to pink (from red) when our camera light hit them. Check them out!

:: Meet This BOI ::
Queer B.O.I.S. has become keenly aware of the great many queer artists who are up and coming and the BOIS are showing up and showing out. Recently we had an occasion to get check out one of Atlanta’s QB rap artist, Fasyh. After years of studying her craft, exploring many facets of the music scene both on stage and behind the scene, she finally found her way and now she’s making the queer rap scene take notice. Take some time to read her story here and get to know Fasyh…she reminds us to be free to be!
Myshia Hill was born December 10, 1983 in St Petersburg, Florida. At the age of 8, she wrote her first rap. After graduating high school in 2002, she moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where for the next 4 years she performed at local clubs. Through this experience, she met a Haitian rapper named Syfa, who inspired her to become a MC and was supportive and instrumental in her development. Myshia and Syfa connected like brother and sister; and their love for music united them like blood. Their passions were clear but lifestyles were completely opposite. Myshia thought of herself as the female version of Syfa and states, “He gained so much of my respect, so much of my love that I created my stage name after him”…Fasyh was born. The name symbolizes freedom, creativity, and strength….a REBIRTH.
In 2006 Fasyh moved to Atlanta, GA where she teamed up with Shaundra Avi Hill, writing songs and making small appearances on other artists’ tracks. During this time, Fasyh lost confidence in her own solo music career. Struggling with her delivery, she decided that managing and songwriting could be a better position for her talents. Fasyh and Avi went on to complete two projects together “Flight of the Fenix” and “Warning”, which slowly helped Fasyh gain her confidence back. Six years later, Fasyh’s confidence began to resurface and by this time, she became more secure with her thoughts, feelings, and expression through her music. Fasyh decided to position herself as an entertainer within the underground LGBT community and decided that she no longer wanted to be confined or defined by society. She then began recording in the studio as a solo artist and her music quickly gained the attention of Greg Charlie (one of the main producers in the studio from the 80s group Kiara). Charlie instantly recognized Fasyh’s talents and was determined to help take her music from underground to mainstream.
“My personality is upbeat and playful so it’s only right that I continue the party with my music, however one of my best songs came straight from the heart. “Only u” gained the attention of radio personalities and label A&Rs so it was only fitting to make it my first single. It’s a testament to a relationship I was in that ended in heartbreak. However, the song is more than just the typical I want you back or only you can make me happy, it says love has no gender and its ok to be you”!
“I’m free to be me!” - Fasyh
